    File Manager Help

    If you want to…

    Add a folder or a file

    • Click on “Actions" menu drop down

    ...for a new folder

    • Click on the “+ Folder” Link in the "Actions" menu drop down
    • Enter a descriptive folder name
    • Click on the “+ Folder” button

    ...for a new file

    • Click on the “+ File” Link in the "Actions" menu drop down
    • Click the “browse” button
    • Locate the file that you want to add
    • Click “open”
    • Click “Upload file”
    • Uploading the file may take a few minutes, please be patient. Once the file uploads successfully you will see a yellow box appear to confirm your upload saying, “your file has been uploaded but needs to be confirmed by the website administrator. When it is confirmed it will appear as one of your files.”

    Move a file

    • Click “move” next to desired file. The screen should change so you see the selected file above a horizontal line. Underneath the line you should see the other folders and documents.
    • Navigate to destination (click on link)
    • Click the “move” button next to in the title "Move Files".

    Search other member’s documents

    • Click search (left menu column)
    • Type in member name, press search
    • Select the member
    • Scroll to the bottom of the profile
    • You should see the member’s folders and documents, to select a folder or document click on the blue hyperlink. If the user has no files they won't have a file section.

    Search documents with a key word

    • Type the search term in to “search all files”
    • This function searches for that word in all files, titles and complete documents.
    • When the search is complete select the file you are looking for or try a different search term.

    Troubleshooting

    Common concerns

    I can’t find the file I uploaded
    After you upload a file it must be confirmed by a site administrator before it is made public. Please wait a few days and search for your file again to confirm the upload. If you are still having problems please contact Brad.

    The file you uploaded may not be available because it exceeds the file capacity of 8MB.
